Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 edge smartphone in India last month, which goes on sale across the country starting today. Here we have the unboxing of the 32GB Black Sapphire version of the smartphone that costs Rs. 58,900. MRP of this version is Rs. 66,000. Check out the unboxing video below.

The Galaxy S6 Edge Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) 577 PPI Super AMOLED curved display that is curved on both the edges. There is a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, similar to the Note 4 and the Note Edge. Octa-Core ( Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos processor powers the smartphones and it has 3GB RAM. It has 4G LTE connectivity that includes LTE bands for India.

The Galaxy S6 edge runs on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) out of the box. The smartphone comes in 64GB and 128GB variants as well that cost Rs.64,900 and Rs. 70,900, respectively. Apart from Black Sapphire, the smartphone also comes in White Pearl, Gold Platinum and Green Emerald colors.

The smartphone has a metal frame and the back is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass protection, similar to the front. On the back there is a 16MP camera with LED Flash and optical image stabilization (OIS). Unlike earlier Galaxy S series smartphones, this has a 2600mAh built-in battery.
