Mobile Innovations of 2008 winners announced

I never knew that Users would expect so much out of their mobile phone before kicking of Free Recharge contest where we asked the users 1 simple question. What feature would you like to see in your mobile phone in 2008 ?

We got about 65 Responses from users who had patiently written about the features which they would like to have in their mobile phone in 2008.

We really had a tough time picking the winners. Most ideas were good and we could not eliminate users easily. So we have picked 10 Users at Random as winners.

Congrats to the winners and A Big Thanks to all the participants.

Please find the list of winning entries below

1. Alok

show the location of the person I am talking to and bio-degradable or some way to recycle it

GPS and Location based services might get bigger in 2008. Handset makers are also getting serious about being Eco Friendly

2.Anil Dewani

….in times i can use my mobile battery for running a shaving machine. In short it should develop such port.

Seems interesting. But is it possible and a worthy innovation ?

3.Shripad

Scheduled messaging. Eg. If I enter an alarm someones birthdate in the schedule I should also be able to add a message in hat schedule so on the specified date the message that I have typed in while entering the ate is automatically sent to that persons mobile phone.

4.Vignesh

A phone which has solar batteries so that it can recharge it self from the sun’s energy..and the phone should automatically send a sms to the 2nd caller when the user is already on the first line

5.Hema

I want to my cell phone to have a built in 3d game console

We are talking about a phone but users want 3D console gaming. Can we expect a Playstation phone this year ? also Ngage 2 is coming soon

6.SWAROOP DUTTA

FINGERPRINT Recognition & Biological Security System

If we are have biometrics on a laptop, why not on a mobile phone ?

7. Harish

I wish my mobile takes over all the tasks of my personal secretary… I should be able to dictate a draft letter (i.e use the mobile like a dictaphone) and click ‘PRINT’ to get a print out of it or be able to email it directly to my client.

I think most phones have voice memos and recorders. But will it fit the role of a Personal Assistant ?

8.Shiva

I would like to use it as a remote to operate all my electrical appliances at home.

Many users want to control their home from mobile. Home Automation via SMS is already present. But something innovative would be interesting.

9.Achal

it should be able to weigh things… like vegetables [kg], milk [liters]…It just might be able to measure height…

This is the funniest reply we got. Its a phone and not a measuring device lol. But seems a nice feature to have.

10. Sparks

Health monitor,Game navigation, true transparency, Removable optical zoom, removable Xenon flash!

This dude is expecting too much out of his phone.
