Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Processor to speed-up smart phones, this summer



HTC One and the Samsung S4 might be competing with each other for their fair share of the ‘super-fast-phone’ market, but there’s one thing common between them that makes these great devices what they really are – and that is the processor . Both phones, run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon latest processors.

In a video conference with select media , Anand Chandrasekher, Chief Marketing Officer, Qualcomm Incorporated, revealed that Qualcomm’s next big thing – the Snapdragon 800 processor will soon be introduced in not just tablets but also premium smartphones. Snapdragon 800 processors will offer speeds, never seen before in smartphones and tablets. The wait for these super-fast phones wont be too long. They are expected to hit market in late summer or in July – August.

At a time when TVs too are getting smarter, the power of Snapdragon 800 will be utilized in TV sets too. Anand also highlighted that Qualcomm’s much appreciated and successful, Snapdragon 600 Processor will be seen in more phones in Q2.

Currently the Snapdragon 600 processor is present  in the HTC One priced at Rs 42,900/-
