Gmail for iPhone and iPad v2.0 update brings redesigned UI, Multiple account support and more

Google has updated the Gmail app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.0. The new Gmail v2.0 for iOS brings redesigned UI, Multiple account support, search predictions and more new features. Google released the Gmail app for iPhone and iPad last November. Google acquired  Sparrow, a popular email app for Mac and iOS earlier this year, but the new Gmail app lacks several features that sparrow had such as universal inbox and gestures.

New features in Gmail for iPhone and iPad v2.0

  • Multiple account support (up to five Google Accounts)
  • Redesigned UI with a new, cleaner look
  • Profile pictures in messages
  • Search predictions as you type
  • Infinite scrolling inbox
  • Respond to Google Calendar invites
  • +1 and comment on Google+ posts directly from the app
  • New welcome experience

Download the Gmail app for iPhone and iPad from the Apple iTunes store (iOS 5.0 and later) for free.
