Nokia Asha 308 Dual SIM and Asha 309 affordable Touch Screen phones announced


Nokia has announced 2 new phones, the Asha 308 and Asha 309 in the Asha range. These are the successors of the Asha 305 and 306 that was introduced in June. Both these phones come with a 3.0-inch (240 x 400 pixels), scratch-resistant capacitive touch display and a 2MP camera. It runs on Nokia Asha OS with Swipe Interface.

These come with pre-loaded Facebook and twitter social apps and 40 Free EA games such as Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run and Fifa 2012. The new Nokia’s new Xpress Browser reduces data consumption by up to 90% and has support for web apps. These would also have Nokia Life preloaded application in select countries with support for the new  Nokia Life+ web app that would be available in 18 more markets.

The Asha 308 has Easy Swap Dual SIM support, which lets you swap SIM cards without opening the device or turning the phone off. It has 20MB internal user memory and supports up to 32GB Micro SD memory card. It is 13mm thick and weighs 103.69g. The Asha 309 has WLAN 802.11b/g support.

These have FM Radio with radio recording, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth  3.0 with A2DP, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB charging and a 1110 mAh battery.

The Asha 308 comes in black or golden light colors, while the Asha 308 would be available in white or black colors. These phones would be available in Q4 2012 for US$ 99 (~INR 5300), excluding taxes.
