Official uTorrent app finally arrives for Android

BitTorrent Inc has finally released the native uTorrent (Beta) app for Android. uTorrent development team announced earlier this year that they are working on an app for Android. This app would let you search and download torrents on the phone, maintain RSS subscriptions, set download / upload limits and more. This doesn’t follow the holo style of Android, hope they update the app with the new holo UI in the stable version.

Features of uTorrent Beta for Android

  • Download torrents from a URL or add the torrent file from the phone
  • Search for torrents on the Web
  • View All the torrents, Completed and torrents that are downloading in different tabs
  • No speed or size caps on downloads (mobile data limits still apply)
  • Subscribe to RSS feeds
  • Instant access to featured content
  • Set download / upload speed limit
  • Auto start the app when the device boots
Download uTorrent Beta from the Google Play Store for free. Since this app is still in beta there might be some bugs.
