HMD has announced the Nokia 2360 Flip, a clamshell 2G feature phone designed primarily for users seeking simplified mobile communication, such as older adults and young students. The device pairs a traditional flip format with remote-assistance software and dedicated emergency hardware.
A central element of the Nokia 2360 Flip is its “Family Assist” capability, which allows authorized family members to manage specific device settings remotely. Through this system, designated contacts can adjust volume levels, input new contacts, and schedule daily reminders without requiring direct physical access to the device.
For safety, the handset incorporates an external SOS button on its rear casing. Activating this emergency control initiates an automated phone call to a designated primary contact while concurrently transmitting emergency text alerts to up to five pre-selected recipients.
