HONOR WIN 2, WIN RT2, and WIN Turbo2 with 2K 185Hz display, IP69K ratings, up to 12070mAh battery announced

At its “HONOR WIN Gaming Universe Carnival” event held in Hangzhou, HONOR introduced three new gaming-oriented smartphones: the flagship HONOR WIN 2, the performance-focused HONOR WIN RT2, and the entry-tier HONOR WIN Turbo2. Across the lineup, the devices emphasize high refresh rate displays, large silicon-based battery capacities, multi-chip processing architectures, and durable chassis designs.

Hardware and Performance

The HONOR WIN 2 leads the hardware profile with the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, clocked up to 5.01GHz. It is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 flash storage. According to HONOR laboratory tests, the WIN 2 reaches an AnTuTu benchmark score of 5,702,964. Graphical output is assisted by the Honor Phantom Engine, which integrates AI rendering separation to raise the 1% low frame rate by 20 FPS, as well as an AI ray-tracing pipeline capable of handling up to 120 million equivalent light rays per second.

The HONOR WIN RT2 operates on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platofrm alongside LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It retains the same AI rendering separation optimizations found in the WIN 2, targeting consistent 2K 185Hz frame delivery during long gaming sessions.

The HONOR WIN Turbo2 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 platform, coupled with an auxiliary energy management chip (E2). Unlike its active-cooling counterparts, the Turbo2 relies on a silent, fanless thermal layout.

Thermal Management

To sustain high loads, both the WIN 2 and WIN RT2 implement HONOR’s Dongfeng Twin Star Turbine Cooling System.

  • Airflow Volume: A dual-fan setup generates up to 1.19 CFM of airflow, which HONOR rates as a 150% improvement in heat dissipation over conventional single-fan designs.
  • Aero Design: The system adapts airflow principles modeled after nuclear cooling towers to improve airflow utilization by 229%.
  • Noise Reduction: The double-arc fan blade geometry reduces operational wind noise by 9dB while maintaining airflow efficiency.

The WIN Turbo2 omits mechanical fans, optimizing its thermal envelope for thinner handling and passive dissipation.

Display and Control Interface

All three handsets feature HONOR’s 2K 185Hz Oasis display technology with support for over 40 native high-frame-rate titles.

  • Display Processing: Driven by the custom WIN DISPLAY chip, the panels utilize frequency-division dual-set Demura pixel calibration, chip-level brightness controls, and 5,920Hz ultra-high-frequency zero-risk PWM dimming. On the WIN Turbo2, resolution is specified at 3104×1440, with local peak brightness reaching up to 10,000 nits and dimming capabilities down to 1 nit.
  • Input Latency: Supported by the WIN TOUCH controller, the series achieves a 5,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, a 520Hz 10-finger reporting rate, and an 800Hz gyroscope polling rate.
  • Ergonomics & Eye Health: The displays incorporate TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 6.0 and flicker-free certifications, dynamic defocus smoothing, 3D anti-dizziness processing, and low-light gaming balance modes. The WIN 2 also integrates an assignable physical “WIN Key” on the frame for custom control mapping, alongside an independent X-axis linear motor and 3D ultrasonic under-display fingerprint authentication.

Battery Architecture and Charging

HONOR incorporates its silicon-carbon Qinghai Lake battery chemistry across the lineup:

  • WIN 2: Houses a 10,100mAh pack supported by 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging over a USB 3.2 connection.
  • WIN RT2: Integrates an enlarged 12,070mAh battery designed for sustained multi-hour gaming.
  • WIN Turbo2: Also features a 12,070mAh Qinghai Lake 5.0 battery with nano-spherical silicon. The Turbo2 supports 90W wired fast charging, 27W reverse wired charging, and power-bypass charging separation to preserve battery health during active play. Internal testing cites battery endurance figures of up to 17.7 hours of continuous gaming or 56.6 hours of outdoor navigation.
Network Architecture

The three models integrate HONOR’s proprietary C3 RF enhancement chip, paired with dedicated 5G and Wi-Fi processing units. The system incorporates high-gain side antenna arrays to mitigate hand-blocking attenuation during horizontal gameplay, which HONOR states cuts weak-signal latency by 30% and reduces network stuttering by 45%. LINK Turbo X dual-network fusion enables concurrent Wi-Fi and mobile data transmission.

Audio Systems

The series uses symmetrical dual 1216 speakers. The WIN 2 features an 18cc dual open sound cavity, while the WIN Turbo2 uses a 16.7cc acoustic cavity with 0.88mm amplitude driven by a 12V smart amplifier chip. AI audio processing isolates and boosts in-game directional audio cues, such as footstep tracking.

Exterior Build and Software

The WIN 2 and WIN RT2 share a design language characterized by 0.93mm symmetric bezels, matte metal mid-frames, and a rear “WIN Energy Ring” with over 40 programmable lighting profiles. Color choices include Red & Blue Buff, Win by Choice (Designated Win), and Quick Black. The WIN Turbo2 features a laser-cut 0.93mm bezel profile with a curved mid-frame.

All three devices carry IP68, IP69, and IP69K environmental ratings, protecting them against dust, immersion, and high-pressure/high-temperature water jets. They ship with MagicOS 11, which includes YOYO smart assistant automation tools, cross-platform transfer support with Android and iOS devices, and gaming-specific system optimizations.
