NVIDIA GeForce NOW officially launches in India

NVIDIA has officially transitioned its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service out of its three-month early access beta phase and into a full public launch. The waitlist has been completely dismantled, allowing anyone across the country to sign up and instantly turn virtually any screen—be it a modest laptop, smartphone, Mac, smart TV, or handheld device—into a high-end gaming rig.

The Hardware: Powered by Blackwell and the RTX 5080

NVIDIA isn’t holding back on performance for the Indian market. The service’s local infrastructure is powered by GeForce RTX 5080 SuperPODs built on NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell RTX architecture. Delivering up to 62 teraflops of performance and packed with a massive 48GB frame buffer, NVIDIA claims these cloud servers offer 2.8 times the performance of its previous-generation cloud setups and more than triple the raw performance of a PlayStation 5 Pro.

For the top-tier experience, users unlock cutting-edge features like DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation for boosted frame rates and NVIDIA Reflex, which drives click-to-pixel latency down below 30 milliseconds—perfect for competitive esports titles at up to 1080p and 360 FPS.

Membership Tiers, Pricing, and Day Passes

To cater to different budgets and habits, NVIDIA has introduced a structured layout divided into monthly subscriptions and single-day access passes, complete with localized UPI payment support to eliminate subscription friction.

1-Month Recurring Plans
  • Free Tier (Basic Rig): Ad-supported, 1-hour gaming sessions, up to 1080p resolution at 60 FPS, with standard queue wait times.
  • Performance Tier (₹999/month): Ad-free, 6-hour gaming sessions, up to 1440p resolution at 60 FPS, priority queue access, and 100 hours of premium monthly playtime.
  • Ultimate Tier (₹1,999/month): Ad-free, 8-hour gaming sessions, up to 5K resolution at up to 360 FPS, first-priority queue access, 100 hours of premium monthly playtime, and full access to RTX 5080 features (DLSS 4, Reflex, and Cloud G-Sync).

Perks for Early Access Loyalty

NVIDIA is extending a thank-you to the community that helped test the platform over the last few months. Existing early access pass holders will receive a one-time 20% discount on the first three months of a recurring membership once their current pass expires. Eligible users will receive redemption details via email, but note that there is a limited window to claim this offer before it lapses.

Game Library and Cloud Storage

GeForce NOW continues its user-friendly philosophy: you do not need to rebuy your games. The platform integrates directly with digital storefronts like Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Battle.net, and GOG, supporting over 5,000 titles. Subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft Connect can also be linked natively.

Storage Breakdown: Both paid tiers include 100GB of single-session cloud storage by default. For “Install-to-Play” titles that require an allocated environment, optional persistent cloud storage add-ons are available starting at ₹299/month for 200GB, jumping to ₹499 for 500GB, and ₹799 for 1TB to avoid re-downloading games between sessions.
