Xiaomi 45W Mini-GaN Charger with cable launched in India

Xiaomi has expanded its accessory lineup in India with the launch of the Xiaomi 45W Mini-GaN Charger. True to its name, the new power adapter leverages Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology to offer high-speed charging in an ultra-compact form factor that is significantly smaller than traditional silicon-based chargers.

The highlight of this charger is its size. By utilizing third-generation GaN technology, Xiaomi has reduced the charger’s volume significantly. It is designed to be easily portable, fitting comfortably in a pocket or small tech pouch, making it an ideal travel companion.

Despite its diminutive size, the charger packs a punch with a 45W max output. It is capable of charging a wide range of devices quickly. The charger is not limited to Xiaomi devices. It supports major fast-charging protocols including PD 3.0 (Power Delivery), QC 3.0 (Quick Charge), and PPS (Programmable Power Supply).

Compatible with Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, iPhone, and Samsung Galaxy devices, it is also capable of charging lightweight laptops (like the MacBook Air) and tablets (iPads and Xiaomi Pads). Xiaomi emphasizes safety with multiple layers of protection built into the device, including: Over-voltage protection, Input over-current protection, Short-circuit protection, Over-temperature protection and Low electromagnetic interference

Pricing and availability

Xiaomi 45W Mini-GaN Charger comes in white colour and is priced at Rs. 1,799.  Unlike many standalone adapters, Xiaomi includes a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. It is now available from mi.com and offline stores.
