realme already confirmed its first major product launch event of 2026, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 6, at 12:00 PM. Today, the company has announced that the event will be streamed on the company’s official YouTube channel. The showcase will focus on the new realme 16 Pro smartphone series, alongside updates to its audio and tablet lineups.

The confirmed devices include the realme 16 Pro+, realme 16 Pro, realme Buds Air 8, and realme Pad 3.

realme 16 Pro Series

The smartphone lineup is led by the Realme 16 Pro+, which the company is marketing with a focus on portrait photography. Key specifications include:

  • Camera: A 200MP LumaColor primary camera utilizing a Samsung HP5 sensor with Super OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). This is paired with a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens.
  • Video: The device supports 4K full-focal HDR video with locked-focus tracking capabilities.

  • Design: The phone features an “Urban & Wild” aesthetic using a bio-based organic silicone material, co-designed with industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa.

The standard realme 16 Pro shares the primary 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor and Super OIS found in the Plus model. It includes ultra-wide and high-resolution selfie cameras. This model is distinguished by a slim, flat-display design with a “Velvet Matte” finish and possesses an IP69 rating for water resistance.

The phones will be sold on Flipkart, realme.com and offline stores.

Audio and Tablet Expansions

In the audio segment, the realme Buds Air 8 will debut with a focus on AI-powered audio processing and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Also designed in collaboration with Naoto Fukasawa, the earbuds feature adaptive sound tuning designed to adjust for various scenarios such as music, calls, and gaming.

The realme Buds Air 8 will be available for purchase on realme.com, Flipkart and Amazon.in.

Completing the launch lineup is the realme Pad 3. Positioned as a device for students, the tablet centers on “Smart Learning” features. It includes AI-powered educational tools and a notebook-style portrait display. realme has indicated that the device prioritizes battery efficiency for extended usage.

The realme Pad 3 will be available for purchase through realme.com and Flipkart.

We should know the pricing and availability of the devices when these go official tomorrow.
