After teasers, OnePlus has confirmed the launch of OnePlus Ace 6T in the Ace series in China on December 3rd. This will be the first phone to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.
This has been jointly developed, and optimized by OnePlus and Qualcomm, using the same process and architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, incorporates the new generation “Wind Chaser Gaming Kernel,” delivering superior performance, energy efficiency, and a superior gaming experience and easily surpasses 3.56 million in AnTuTu 11 benchmark and achieving 165fps at full frame rate, placing it in the top tier of the industry, said the company.
The phone will come in Flash Black, Phantom Green, and Electric Purple colours, feature a metal frame, metal cube deco that is smaller and less protruding, come with a large flat AMOLED screen with ultra-narrow bezels, 165Hz refresh rate, feature shortcut key replacing the alert slider and will use silk glass and fibreglass finish.
It will pack 8000mAh+ battery and is expected to come with support for 100W fast charging. The phone will launch in India on December 17th as OnePlus 15R, making it the first phone to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 globally.
