HONOR just introduced the HONOR Magic8 and Magic8 Pro smartphones at an event in China, as it had promised.
The Magic 8 Pro has a 6.71-inch 1.5K OLED quad-curved LTPO OLED screen and the standard version has a 6.58-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED screen. These feature 1-120Hz refresh rate, global peak brightness of 1800nit, local peak brightness of 6000 nits, supports 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, circularly polarized light eye protection, and is covered with HONOR Rhino Glass.
Both the phones are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with up to 16GB of RAM and the company claims 4.28 million Antutu 11 benchmark score. These run Magic UI 10 that features unparalleled cross-platform and cross-device functionality between Android, HarmonyOS, iOS, and Windows, allowing users to effortlessly share files, sync tasks, and maintain continuity across their most important tools with ease.
These have HONOR AI agent that boasts automatic execution capabilities across more than 3,000 scenarios, and the YOYO Agent can be activated in the appropriate context to automatically complete a series of operations. You can also use the AI button to identify the nutritional content of food with one click.
The HONOR Magic8 Pro has a 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera with a large 1/1.4″ sensor and wide f/2.6 aperture. It has AI Adaptive Stabilization Model, so HONOR Magic8 Pro achieves the industry’s most stable CIPA 5.5-level, said the company. The HONOR Magic8 Series also debuts Magic Color, the industry’s first AI-powered color engine. Relying on advanced deep learning algorithms, it can intelligently extract 16.77 million colors.
Through device-cloud collaborative color migration technology, it achieves efficient color tracking and processing for both global tonality and local fine-tuning, ensuring both high-quality output and smooth real-time preview. There is a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP front camera.
The phones have IP68 + IP69 and IP69k ratings for dust and water resistance. This time, the Magic8 Pro packs a huge 7200mAh Silicon-carbon Battery while retaining 100W fast charging, and 80W wireless charging. The Magic8 has a smaller 7000mAh Silicon-carbon Battery with 90W fast charging, and 80W wireless charging.

The HONOR Magic8 series phones are now available to order and will go on sale in China starting from October 23rd. The phones will launch globally later this year, said the company.
