LG has introduced the LG Essential Series, a new line of home appliances developed specifically based on consumer insights from across India. This launch marks the company’s first significant consumer initiative since its public listing and aims to make its technology more accessible to a broader range of Indian households.
The new series is marketed under the campaign slogan “Har Ghar Appliances, Har Ghar Happiness|” emphasizing the goal of bringing LG products into more homes. The development process involved engagement with over 1,200 families from diverse demographics to understand their specific needs and challenges.
This research led to a product line built on the philosophies of “Made in India” and “Made for India,” focusing on performance, durability, and practical design at an accessible price point.
The LG Essential Series initially includes four key home appliances:
Double Door Refrigerator
This model features frost-free technology, eliminating the need for manual defrosting. It includes a Smart Mode that automatically adjusts cooling based on seasonal conditions and a vegetable storage compartment that is 20 percent larger than previous models, catering to households that purchase groceries in bulk.
Fully Automatic Top Load Washing Machine
Engineered to operate effectively in various Indian conditions, the washing machine is equipped with Low Pressure Fill technology to function even with low water pressure. Its ProShield Motor is protected by a Bulk Moulding Compound (BMC) cover to guard against dust, insects, and moisture. The control panel is IPX4-certified for water resistance, ensuring durability in humid environments.
Room Air Conditioner
Addressing consumer concerns about high electricity costs, this air conditioner includes an Energy Manager+ function that allows users to manage power consumption. A feature called Diet Mode+ is designed to balance cooling temperature with energy efficiency, providing optimized airflow suitable for small to medium-sized rooms.
Convertible Oven
Taking inspiration from Indian cooking habits, the oven comes with pre-programmed Auto Cook menus for local dishes such as ghee, paneer, and dal. It also incorporates Air Fry and Convection modes to support a variety of cooking styles.
Pricing and Availability
The LG Essential Series is scheduled for a nationwide rollout beginning in November 2025. The entry-level models in the series will have a starting price of approximately Rs. 18,000.
The products will be available for purchase through authorized LG brand stores, multi-brand retail outlets, and major e-commerce platforms across India, contingent upon regulatory approvals and supply chain conditions.
