Sony India has announced the WH-1000XM6 wireless noise cancelling headphones, the latest edition of its 1000X series, first introduced in May this year. The headphones combine advanced noise cancellation, high-resolution audio, and ergonomic design for a precise listening experience.
The WH-1000XM6 features a wider vegan leather headband with an asymmetrical design for easy left/right identification, stretchable earpads for comfort and noise blocking, tactile buttons and a touch panel for controls, a durable folding mechanism, and a magnetic carrying case.
Sony has also emphasized sustainability, using 100% paper packaging made from bamboo, sugarcane fibers, and recycled materials. The headphones are part of Sony’s “For The Music” platform, which emphasizes authentic audio experiences and support for creators.

The headphones were developed with input from Sterling Sound, Battery Studios, and Coast Mastering, refining every note for studio-level accuracy. The driver unit, high-rigidity carbon fiber composite dome, and specialized voice coil deliver clear vocals, precise instruments, and detailed sound.
The HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 also features look-ahead noise shaping, and the WH-1000XM6 supports 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema, with all settings adjustable via the Sony | Sound Connect app.
