HONOR has announced strong initial sales for its new HONOR Magic V5 foldable smartphone across Western Europe. According to the company, first-week sales for the device were 75% higher than those of its predecessor, the HONOR Magic V3, during the same period.
The HONOR Magic V5, which was officially launched for the global markets on August 28th, has seen significant growth on e-commerce platforms and through channel partners. This launch follows a period of growth for HONOR in the foldable smartphone market.
A recent report from Counterpoint Research stated that HONOR became the fastest-growing book-type foldable manufacturer in Europe in 2024, with its market share tripling to 34%.
Key Features of the HONOR Magic V5
The HONOR Magic V5 is promoted as a durable and powerful foldable smartphone. HONOR states that it is the world’s slimmest book-style foldable. It holds an IP58 and IP59 rating for dust and water resistance, and has been validated by a Guinness World Record for the heaviest weight lifted by a suspended foldable phone.
The device features a 5,820mAh silicon-carbon battery and an upgraded AI Falcon Camera System, which includes a 64MP Ultra Sensing Periscope Telephoto lens.
The HONOR Magic V5 has a 7.95-inch inner display and a 6.43-inch outer screen, both of which support stylus input. Its Multi-Flex mode allows for multitasking with up to three apps simultaneously.
The phone is available in several colors, including Ivory White, Black, and Dawn Gold. Pricing starts at £1,699.99 (USD 2294 / Rs. 2,01,025 approx.) in the UK and €1,999 (USD 2327 / Rs. 2,03,890 approx.) in Europe for the 16GB + 512GB model. It is available through honor.com, network operators, and other retail partners.
