Garmin expands 2-year warranty and updates service policy in India

Garmin has strengthened its 2-Year Warranty Program in India. The newly added Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 now join the list of devices eligible for extended warranty, providing Indian customers with reliable service support across a wider range of products.

Warranty Coverage

The 2-Year Warranty applies to all Garmin wearables launched in India from January 2024 onwards, including:

  • Forerunner 165
  • Fenix 8
  • Enduro 3
  • Vivoactive 6
  • Instinct 3

This program ensures users receive consistent support and a secure ownership experience across Garmin devices.

Service Guidelines for Imported Devices

Garmin’s exclusive distributor in India, AMIT GPS & Navigation, has issued updated service guidelines for devices purchased outside India. While support remains available, imported units are subject to GST, import duties, and additional local service charges. Customers are advised to verify eligibility before purchasing overseas units, as some products may not comply with Indian regulations.

Authorized Service & Support

All Garmin service operations in India are managed by AMIT GPS & Navigation, covering devices such as watches, cycling equipment, handheld GPS units, golf devices, marine equipment, and dash cameras. Devices are categorized for either repair or replacement at the authorized service center in Delhi.

Garmin recommends avoiding phased-out products or services from unauthorized dealers or third-party repair providers, as such actions can void the official warranty and affect eligibility for repairs, special repair rates, or replacements. A list of discontinued products is available here: Garmin Discontinued Products.

This update reaffirms Garmin’s commitment to the Indian market, providing reliable service support and ensuring a consistent ownership experience for its growing user base.
