vivo T4 Pro Unboxing and First Impressions


vivo just launched the vivo T4 Pro smartphone in the new T4 series in India. This has a similar curved display, IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance,7 Gen 4 SoC, 6500mAh battery and a telephoto camera, similar to the vivo V60, but other cameras are different. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

The vivo T4 Pro sports a 6.77-inch FHD+ 41° curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, same as the predecessor. The display is bright, thanks to, up to 1500 nits full screen brightness and up to 5000 nits peak brightness, and the sunlight legibility is good as well. There is Diamond Shield protection on the front.

It has a tiny punch-hole that houses the 32-megapixel camera. The earpiece is present on the top edge, which doubles up as a secondary speaker. The phone has an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The bottom bezels are minimal.

The T4 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and supports 5G SA/NSA with several bands. It runs Android 15 with FuntouchOS 15 on top, and the company has promised 4 Android updates and 6 years of security updates.

The phone has a power button and volume rockers on the right side. The dual SIM slots, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the speaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is present on the top, along with speaker vents. The build quality is good.

The phone has triple rear cameras that include a 50-megapixel main camera with 1/1.95″ Sony IMX882 sensor, OIS, 50MP 1/1.95″ IMX882 3x periscope telephoto camera with f/2.65 aperture, OIS and a 2MP depth sensor. There is up to 100x zoom.

It can record videos at 4k resolution at up to 30 fps from the front and rear cameras. It has standard and ultra stabilization, but the resolution is down to 1080p in ultra option since it crops the content. OIS does a good job in stabilization. You can adjust the aperture manually for portrait video, but this is limited to 1080p.

The plastic back has a matte finish. It also comes in Blaze Gold colour. The phone retains IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The phone is just 7.53mm thick and weighs 192 grams even though it packs a huge, 6500mAh battery. It has 90W fast charging.

Priced starting at Rs. 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, the phone will be available from vivo.com, Flipkart and offline stores, starting from August 29th. With bank offers, the effective starting price is Rs. 24,999.
