OnePlus just launched the Nord 5, the company’s latest Nord smartphone, at its Summer Launch event, as it had promised. The phone packs a 6.83-inch 1.5K Swift AMOLED screen with 144Hz variable refresh rate screen and 3,840Hz PWM dimming.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, a minor upgrade to Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 in the predecessor, has up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
OnePlus says that it can sustain 144 FPS gaming for up
to five consecutive hours on top games like BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile,
and Free Fire. The OnePlus Nord 5 has the segment’s largest 7,300 mm² VC cooling system, said the company. The total heat dissipation area is 32207 mm².
The phone runs Android 15 with Oxygen OS 15 on top, and the company has promised 4 years of Android OS updates, and 6 years of security updates. There is also Google Gemini, and eligible OnePlus users can enjoy a three-month trial of Google AI Pro at no extra cost. The phone has a 50MP main camera with Sony LYT-700 sensor, support for OIS, along with a 8MP ultra-wide camera. For the first time, the phone gets a 50MP front camera.
The three-stage alert slider is replaced by a Plus key, which made its debut in the OnePlus 13s. This customizable button aims to provide quick access to sound profiles (Sound, Vibration, and Do Not Disturb), AI tools, and other user-defined functions.
It packs a huge, 6800mAh battery and supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charge that can charge up to 100% in under an hour. There is also bypass charging. It has IP65 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The OnePlus Nord 5 comes in Marble Sands, Dry Ice and Phantom Grey colours and is priced at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, the 12GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 34,999 and the top-end 12GB + 512GB model is priced at Rs. 37,999.
It will be available from Amazon.in, OnePlus.in, OnePlus Store App, as well as mainline stores such as OnePlus Experience Stores, and partner stores such as Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, Bajaj Electronics, and more starting from 9th July 2025, 12 PM onwards.
