Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones—the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7—likely next month. Following multiple leaks and renders, a new report from Android Headlines now reveals official renders of both devices.
Galaxy Z Fold 7
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be available in Blue Shadow and Jet Black colors, with additional options expected at launch.
A major feature is its slim profile, with thickness rumored between 3.9mm and 4.5mm when unfolded—though the 3.9mm figure may be optimistic due to hardware limits.
The hinge has been redesigned slimmer than on the Fold 6, reducing the weight to about 215 grams. If confirmed, this would make it 24 grams lighter than its predecessor and even lighter than the OPPO Find N5, currently the thinnest foldable on the market.
Samsung is also widening the outer screen from 6.3 to 6.5 inches, while the internal foldable display is expected to reach 8.2 inches—making it the largest foldable screen available, surpassing the OPPO Find N5’s 8.12-inch panel.
Galaxy Z Flip 7
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 features a much larger cover display that spans the entire outer panel, similar to the motorola Razr Ultra. It remains to be seen if Samsung will allow full app usage on this screen, a feature Motorola already supports.
This model is thinner and lighter than its predecessor. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy—an overclocked version of Qualcomm’s latest chip—with a Prime core clocked up to 4.47GHz.
It will come with 12GB of RAM and storage up to 512GB. Camera specs are expected to stay the same: a 50MP main sensor paired with a 12MP ultrawide lens. Battery capacity is also likely to remain at around 4,000mAh.
Launch Details
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 during its Summer Unpacked event, likely scheduled for July 9 in New York City. With the launch just weeks away, official invites and announcements from the company could arrive soon.
