Samsung is getting set to introduce its next foldable devices — the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the brand’s first Fan Edition foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
Now, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, listed under model number SM-F766U, has been spotted in the Geekbench database, according to details shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd).
Exynos 2500
Reports have long suggested that the device would use Samsung’s new Exynos 2500 chip. The Geekbench listing now confirms this, showing these benchmark scores:
- Single-core: 2,012
- Multi-core: 7,563
CPU layout:
- 1 core at 3.30 GHz
- 2 cores at 2.75 GHz
- 5 cores at 2.36 GHz
- 2 cores at 1.80 GHz

Others
- GPU: Samsung Xclipse 950
- RAM: 12 GB
- Software: Android 16 with One UI 8.0
User Response
The performance scores have drawn criticism online. Some users say the Exynos 2500 lags behind competitors like Apple and Qualcomm. One noted its single-core score is close to Apple’s 2020 A14 chip (2,079), while another pointed out the multi-core score is near the 2023 A17 Pro (7,441).
While slightly better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in last year’s Galaxy S24, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6, the Exynos 2500 still falls short of newer flagship processors. Its highest CPU core also runs at lower speeds compared to many rivals, possibly to help control heat.
Models sold in the U.S., India, and South Korea are expected to use the Exynos 2500, suggesting a global rollout of this chipset.
Launch date?
Although Samsung has not officially announced dates, the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Watch 8 Series at its July 2025 Unpacked event. More details are likely to emerge ahead of the launch.
