OPPO has launched the A5x 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone, in India as the successor to last year’s A3x 5G. It has a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,000 nits peak brightness.
The phone has MIL-STD-810H certification, and has been rigorously tested in the harshest of environments and conditions, be it extreme heat, moisture, and for shock resistance. It also has IP65 ratings for dust and water resistance, compared to IP54 ratings in the predecessor.
The OPPO A5x 5G has a 360° Armour Body that integrates flagship-grade reinforced glass with 160% higher impact resistance compared to its predecessor, alongside a proprietary high-strength alloy frame, said the company.
It retains the Dimensity 6300 SoC with 4GB of RAM, has a 5MP camera on the front and a better 32MP rear camera. The phone is just 7.99mm, and packs a huge, 6000mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charger in the box.
It can charge up to 30% in 21 minutes and 100% in 1 hour and 24 minutes. The A5x 5G battery retains over 80% of its capacity after 1,700 charge cycles—ensuring up to 5 years of consistent performance with daily use.

The OPPO A5x 5G comes in Midnight Blue, reminiscent of moonlight shimmering on a tranquil lake, and Laser White, a futuristic fusion of laser spectra and pristine elegance and is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the single 4GB+128GB variant.
It will be available from Amazon, Flipkart, OPPO Store, and mainline retail outlets starting from May 25th.
