Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge, the company’s first sleek phone in the S series in an online event, as it had promised. The phone packs a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ 1-120Hz LTPO AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection.
The phone has a titanium frame, is just 5.8mm thick and weighs just 163 grams. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, similar to other phones in the S25 series. It has reconfigured vapor chamber that is now thinner, yet broader for steady heat dissipation, said the company. The phone doesn’t miss on IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance.
It has a 200MP main camera that promises 40% improved brightness in low-light environments compared to the Galaxy S25. This is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with autofocus, offering macrophotography.
The phone run Android 15 with One UI 7 on top with AI features such as multimodal AI agents that can interpret text, speech, images, and videos. There is Google’s Circle to Search and Galaxy AI tools for communication, productivity, and creativity such as Call Transcript, Writing Assist, and Drawing Assist and Audio Eraser.
Samsung commits to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S25 series, similar to older models.
