realme GT 7 Series: 7000mAh battery, 120W fast charging confirmed

After revealing the launch date and the design, realme today confirmed that the realme GT 7 series will pack a huge, 7000mAh battery with 120W fast charging for the first time.
realme has also released a white paper “The Future of Battery Tech” in partnership with TÜV Rheinland.

The white paper addresses current challenges in smartphone battery technology, such as limitations in energy density and material degradation, which can impact battery life and charging speed. It discusses realme’s approach to these issues through new battery architectures and management systems.

realme has highlighted several technologies in its white paper, including 320W fast charging, which the company states can fully charge a device in approximately 4 minutes and 30 seconds using magnetic-coupling DCX step-down technology.

The paper also mentions the integration of multi-cell battery configurations, AI-driven battery management systems (BMS), and advanced heat dissipation techniques, which realme indicates are designed to contribute to battery longevity and safety standards.

The 7000mAh battery with 120W ultra-fast charging in the GT7 series aims to address previous industry limitations, where high-capacity batteries were often associated with slower charging speeds. A teaser video reveals that the phone can be charged up to 100% in 40 minutes.

The realme GT 7 series is scheduled for launch in India and globally on May 27. The GT 7 and GT 7T models will be available for purchase through realme.com, Amazon.in, and other retail channels.
