Samsung Exynos 2400 Deca-Core SoC powers the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ in India

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ at its Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, as confirmed by Samsung and Qualcomm.

Now, the company has confirmed on its Samsung India website that the Galaxy S24 and S24+ models will be powered by new Deca-Core Exynos 2400 SoC in India and Europe, while the US, Canada, China and Japan gets the Snapdragon version.

The Exynos 2400 uses 4nm 3rd generation process node for better power efficiency. This has tri-cluster CPU structure that consists of one Arm Cortex-X4 large core optimized for peak performance at 3.2 GHz, five mid-sized core that includes 2 x Cortex-A720 cores at 2.90 GHz and 3 x Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6 GHz for balanced processing, and four Cortex-A520 cores at 2.0 GHz for efficiency. The company promises 1.7x increase in CPU performance compared to Exynos 2200.

It has the new Samsung Xclipse 940 GPU with the powerful AMD RDNA 3 architecture and hardware ray tracing technology that simulates real-world light movement for immersive visuals.

The Exynos 2400’s NPU performance has seen 14.7x boost in AI processing compared to Exynos 2200. It integrates a fast 3GPP Release 17 5G modem supporting both sub-6GHz and mmWave (millimeter Wave) spectrum bands.
