Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 6 to get HyperOS in India first

After teasers, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of HyperOS in India starting from this month. The first devices to get the update will be Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6 which were released last year.

This comes after the company announced that HyperOS will arrive for several Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones globally starting from Q1, 2024.

Xiaomi HyperOS relies on Linux and Xiaomi’s self-developed Xiaomi Vela system, allowing it to work efficiently with various devices, regardless of RAM size. Xiaomi HyperOS is lightweight, using minimal resources compared to competitors, said the company when it was introduced in China back in October.

The Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+ devices that will launch on January 4th in India are still expected to run MIUI, so should get more details about the HyperOS for those devices at the launch event later this week.
