Xiaomi just announced the Redmi K70E, K70 and the top-end K70 Pro smartphones at an event in China. The K70 and K70 Pro feature a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED flat screen jointly developed with TCL Huaxing featuring new C8 luminescent material offering peak brightness of up to 4000 nits, 120Hz refresh rate.
It has support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision and 3840Hz PWM high-frequency dimming. The screen triple TUV Rheinland eye protection certification, 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and 12-bit 68.7 billion colors.
The Redmi K70 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with self-developed Circular cold pump cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design, one-way circulation structure, promising 3 times the performance of traditional VC. It has 5000mm² large cooling area, has up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It says that the phone has scored 2.24 million points on AnTuTu 10.
The phone has triple rear cameras with a 50MP 1/1.55″ Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 2x telephoto camera.
There is also a Redmi K70 Pro “Automobili Lamborghini SQUADRA CORSE” that has a custom design, two colours and a customized gift box. This comes only in 24GB + 1TB version and will go on sale soon.
The Redmi K70 has a similar screen, but this gets a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 1.71 million AnTuTu score, according to the company but has up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. This has the same main camera with OIS, but has an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and replaces the telephoto camera with a 2MP macro camera.
Both the phones feature a glass back and a metal frame and pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. There is P2 fast charging chip and G1 battery management chip. The phones lack wireless charging, which were present in the K60 and K60 Pro.
