OnePlus Open update brings eSIM support, further camera improvements


OnePlus has started rolling out a new update (v13.2.0.116) for the latest OnePlus Open, the company’s first foldable phone weeks after the sale. The minor update brings eSIM support, as the company had confirmed at the launch.

Techincally, eSIM support was already available on the Open and was accessible only on the ORoaming feature for purchasing international data packages.Enabling the eSIM will disable the 2nd physical SIM slot and can be used again by disabling the eSIM. With the latest update, users can scan QR codes for any eSIM and add it to the Open.The EID or eSIM is available under About Device->Status->EID.

The minor update, which is about 301MB in size, also brings several improvements in the system as well as fixes. It also brings further camera improvements for the telephoto camera in zoom, and improved color tone and accuracy. Check out the complete change log below.

•Fixes a slow response issue that might occur when you tap and hold a friend's profile photo in WeChat on the cover screen. 
•Fixes an Issue where the Eraser tool in Photos might not respond to your taps.

•Increases the clarity of photos taken at higher zoom ratios with the telephoto camera. 
•Improves the tone and color accuracy of photos taken in Photo and Pro mode.
