Vistara offers free in-flight Wi-Fi to Club Vistara members

Vistara became the first company to offer in-flight Wi-Fi internet connectivity onboard international flights operated by its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, starting September 2020. It was extended to Airbus A321 neo aircraft later.

As an introductory offer, the service was introduced for free of cost to all Vistara customers for a limited period. From March 2022, the company started charging for the service.

Complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi for Club Vistara members

Now, it has started offering complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi worth INR 372.74 / USD 4.95 for its Club Vistara members. The company said that it is the first Indian airline to provide this service onboard.

The in-flight Wi-Fi service provided by Tata’s Nelco Network Products Limited (NNPL) and powered by Panasonic Avionics Corporation offers complimentary unlimited data for messaging apps (WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage and similar services). However, this doesn’t let you send or receive photos, videos, or audio files.

Club Vistara Platinum members and Business Class customers get free 50MB data for surfing onboard.

Others can choose Surf plan at INR 1577.54 / USD 20.95 for embedded audio and video streaming such as content on social media and website with unlimited data. The Stream plan offers unlimited data streaming on all sites at INR 2707.04 / USD 35.95.

Vistara says that the CV ID should be associated with the booking to be able to enjoy unlimited messaging in-flight. You can check out more details about the benefits for Club Vistara members on the vistara website.
