vivo S17 and S17 Pro with 6.78″ 1.5K 120Hz curved AMOLED screen and vivo TWS Air Pro ANC earbuds to be announced on May 31


vivo has announced that it will introduced the vivo S17 and S17 Pro smartphones and vivo TWS Air Pro earbuds in China on May 31. The S17 series will be the successor to last year’s S16 series, and the TWS Air Pro in an enhanced version of the TWS Air with ANC support.

vivo has confirmed that the S17 will come in mountain, sea green and black colours. The mountain and sea green colors are said to feature the industry’s first particle ink technology, and the whole series is said to come with 3D micro-curved surface design.

There are dual rear cameras with OIS, Aura LED light. The phones will be just 7.46mm thick. These will feature a 1.5 K screen with a 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming support.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the phones will feature a 6.78″1.5K OLED screen with in-display fingerprint scanner, and will retain the Dimensity 8200 SoC from the predecessor. The Pro version will come with 50MP IMX766V sensor, 8MP IMX355 ultra-wide camera, a 12MP IMX663 2X telephoto camera and a 4505mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.

In addition, vivo also announced today that it will introduce the TWS Air Pro, the world’s first semi-in-ear active noise-cancelling earphones. This is said to come with similar specifications as the iQOO TWS Air Pro, which was introduced earlier this week, so it should practically be the second one with the feature.

To remind you, the earbuds feature 14.2mm drivers, DeepX 2.0 Stereo Effect, Bluetooth 5.3 for stable, low game latency of 88ms, AI dual microphone call noise reductionm anti-wind noise ducts for clear calls outdoors battery life of up to 30 hours and quick charging support as well as dust and water-resistant with an IP54 rating.
