Xiaomi Civi3 to be powered by Dimensity 8200-Ultra for enhanced camera capabilities

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch the Civi3, the company’s next Civi series phone focused on the camera, in China soon. It also said that this will be the first phone to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra, an enhanced version of the Dimensity 8200 which already powers the Redmi K60E.

Last year’s Civi 2 was powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, but the company has gone to MediaTek instead of Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, which is the latest Snapdragon 7 series SoC.

Xiaomi said that the Dimensity 8200-Ultra offers the best performance and is tailor-made imaging speciality core for an enhanced and accelerated camera performance. More than 30 Xiaomi imaging functions are implemented in the phone, the company added.

Compared to the Xiaomi Civi 2, the Civi 3 promises improved optimization and power consumption. The continuous shooting speed has increased by 235%, Portrait speed has increased by 35%, Night mode speed has been increased by 57%, and HDR speed has increased by 153% compared to the previous generation, says the company.
