Redmi Note 12 Turbo with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 to be announced on March 28

Last week at the introduction of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo that will launch in March will be the first phone to be powered by the top-end Snapdragon 7 series chip. Today, Xiaomi has confirmed that the phone will be introduced in China on March 28th.

The teaser reveals a familiar triple rear camera design as the Redmi Note 12 Pro series, but there is no camera bar. The image reveals a 64MP main camera, and the phone still has a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The rear design is different.

Lu Weibing, the general manager of Redmi, said that Redmi Note 12 Turbo phone with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 focuses on performance, improving the experience level of mid-range products. The chip fully inherits the flagship features of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Although there is a little gap between the peak performance and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the overall energy efficiency, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 performs extremely well. In terms of definition, a balance between power consumption and performance is considerable, he added.

We should know more details about the phone in the coming days.
