Razer Edge 5G with 6.8″ FHD+ AMOLED 144Hz display, Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 announced


Razer at the RazerCon 2022 announced the Razer Edge 5G, the world’s first dedicated 5G handheld console in partnership with Verizon, after teasing it recently. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 Gaming Platform, and runs on Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband.

Razer Edge offers near-zero latency gaming with Verizon 5G mmWave and Wi-Fi 6E connections with FastConnect 6900. The Razer Edge has a 6.8″ FHD+ AMOLED screen with 144Hz, and packs a 5000mAh battery.

You can play thousands of AAA games compatible with the device, including native Android games and there are pre-installed launchers like Epic Games, cloud streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) and Nvidia GeForce Now, or remote play options that offer full access to PC libraries like Steam Link, Moonlight, Parsec, and Xbox.

It comes bundled with the new Razer Kishi V2 Pro, featuring all the award-winning technologies, customization options and features of the Kishi V2 mobile controller, with two additions: Razer HyperSense advanced-haptic feedback and a 3.5mm audio port. Microswitches in the face buttons and D-pad deliver tactical response and instantaneous actuation in order to yield true console-quality controls on a handheld gaming platform, said the company.

Pricing and availability

The Razer Edge is priced at $399.99 (Rs. 32,965 approx.) that includes Razer Kishi V2 Pro controller and the Razer Edge Founders Edition that also comes with Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds costs $499.99 (Rs. 41,205 approx.). You can now reserve it in the US.

The Razer Edge 5G model will be available in January 2023 exclusively through Verizon and will be available at Razer Booth at CES 2023.
