Nothing Phone 1: 50MP IMX766 sensor, OIS confirmed, camera samples teased


We just have a few more days for the launch of Nothing Phone (1), the first smartphone from London-based Nothing. The company already confirmed Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, Wireless Charging, recycled aluminum frame, Glyph Interface for customizing the LEDs, and more. Now it has confirmed that the phone will feature 50 MP 1/1.56″ Sony IMX766 sensor, ƒ/1.88 aperture, as well as OIS and EIS dual stabilization.

The phone also has a secondary camera with 114° field of view. Co-founder Carl Pei said experience > specs, 2 good cameras > 1 good + 3 cheap cameras. The company has also shared some camera samples from the phone.

On TikTok, Nothing when answering to questions of users has confirmed under display fingerprint scanner and a 120Hz refresh rate screen.

Thanks to @evleaks, we now have the high resolution image of the Black version of the phone with a red coloured wallpaper.

Flipkart has confirmed Rs. 2,000 flat discount with HDFC Bank Credit card and EMI transactions. We should know the final price of the phone when it goes official on July 12th.
