Google Pixel Watch said to last just a day on a single charge

Rumours of Google’s upcoming Pixel watch keeps coming before the release later this year. Earlier rumour, even before Google officially confirmed the smartwatch, revealed a 300mAh battery for the watch. Now, a new report for 9to5Google says that the smartwatch will offer a day of battery life on a single charge which is the same as most WearOS models.

This is the same as Samsung Galaxy Watch which has a smaller 247mAh battery, but the bigger 44mm/46mm Galaxy Watch model with a 361mAh promises up to 40 hours of battery life, which is somewhat true. We still don’t know in what conditions Google tests the battery life. If this includes AOD and sleep tracking, then it is decent. It is also not clear if the LTE model will have a bigger battery.

The report also says that the Pixel Watch will not offer fast charging via its magnetic to USB-C cable, so it will take closer to or a bit longer than the 110 minutes it takes to charge the Galaxy Watch 4 fully.

Based on earlier rumours, the Pixel Watch will be powered by Samsung Exynos 9110 processor along with a co-processor, pack 32GB of storage, and include sensor heart rate, SpO2, and ECG monitoring.

We should know more details in the coming weeks, before the launch later this year.
