AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT RDNA-2 based 6nm GPU launched in India


AMD has launched Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics cards for the desktop, capable of 1080p gaming in India, after it was introduced at the CES earlier this month. It is built using TSMC 6nm process technology, uses AMD RDNA 2 gaming architecture and offer high-bandwidth, low-latency AMD Infinity Cache memory technology and high-speed GDDR6 memory.

It supports Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft DirectX 12 Ultimate, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) upscaling technology and other advanced features that promise high-refresh rate gaming experiences.

It comes with 16 Compute units enabled, compared to 28 Compute units on the RX 6600. Further, it has 4GB DDR6 memory clocked at 2610MHz with a boost clock of up to 2815 MHz, has an Infinity cache of 16MB, and has a Typical Board Power of 107W.

It promises up to 35% faster gaming performance on average in 1080p resolution with high settings compared to the competitors.

Pricing and availability

The Radeon RX 6500 XT is already roll out through global retailers/retailers from AMD board partners including ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, SAPPHIRE, XFX and starting at an SEP of Rs. 19990 plus GST.

The ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT OC Edition has been listed for Rs. 32,999 and the ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT OC Edition is listed for Rs. 35,999.
