realme India confirms global launch of TechLife brand that starts with ‘D’ on May 25


Update: realme has posted new teaser for the D brand and also officially confirmed May 25, 2021 will be the global launch date of its first brand under the realme TechLife ecosystem.  The teaser on Twitter talked about the origin of this new brand saying that it started with a DREAM, which led to a DISCOVERY of new DESIGN and DEVELOPMENT, to produce something DIFFERENT.

The soon-to-be-launched brand is conceptualised to help its future consumers experience a smarter and more convenient tech life, said the company. The products promise to offer a differentiated proposition for consumers who seek greater value from their technology to enrich their day-to-day lives.

It will the website and social media handles of the new brand on May 25th, in addition to the official announcement of the name.

realme said that it is strongly committed to create an ecosystem “realme TechLife” and under the said ecosystem the brand is looking for highly innovative partners globally to provide products with brand-new technology experience for users.

Confirming the development, Madhav Sheth, Vice President, realme and CEO, realme India & Europe said:

We are super excited as D will be finally here in just a few days and it will be the first brand in our realme TechLife ecosystem. We are thankful for an extraordinary response that we have been receiving, not just in India but across the world. Earlier: realme TechLife division which is known for its IoT accessories has started teasing the launch of a new brand that starts with the letter ‘D’. This company also said that it will be different from anything it has done before. According to an IANS report, the new launch is set for May 25th and will have its own line of products.

realme was supposed to launch new products, including a new smartphone on May 4th, but it got postponed due to the ongoing pandemic in the country.

Earlier this year during the launch of realme TechLife platform which has realme’s own IoT products and products under partner brands, Madhav Sheth, Vice President, realme and CEO, realme India & Europe, said:

We will be supporting our partners who have joined the ‘realme TechLife’ platform with our product, R&D, supply and quality assurance. We leave options to onboard brands to choose their original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners freely.

In a new interview, Sheth, said:

Some brands also own their own factories. In case any brands need support of a local OEM, Realme will provide all the support in figuring out local OEM partners for them, who could help them manufacture their products and give the best quality assurance.

The company already said that the realme TechLife project has already received many applications from different brands interested to start a new partnership and bring their products to the mass market under realme branding.

realme also said that it aims to launch over 100 new AIoT and lifestyle products in 2021 – from TWS, affordable smart TVs, smart plugs, trimmers, smart bulbs and more.
