Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G Unboxing and First Impressions


This week realme launched the narz 30 Pro 5G smartphone in India along with the narzo 30A. This is the second phone to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC in India, after the company’s own realme X7, however this packs a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh instead of an AMOLED screen, but comes with a bigger 5000mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge fast charging. We got hold of the phone, and here is our unboxing.

The narzo 30 pro has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved glass screen with gentle rounded corners. The display is bright, and the sunlight legibility is good as well, thanks to 600nits peak brightness. It has 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

It has the punch-hole that houses 16-megapixel camera. The proximity and ambient light sensors are present under the screen. The earpiece is present on the top edge. Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC with up to 8GB of RAM, the performance is good.

Coming to the button placements, the power button that combines the fingerprint sensor is present on the right side, the volume rockers and the hybrid SIM slot are present on the right, secondary microphone is on the top, 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom.

Unlike the X7 that doesn’t have an expandable storage, this comes with a hybrid SIM slot that takes two nano SIMs or a nano SIM and a microSD card.

The phone features a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide camera with f/2.3 aperture and a 2-megapixel 4cm macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. It supports up to 4K 30 fps video recording. Check out some camera samples below.

Coming to the design, the phone uses AG coating process that greatly improves appearance and texture and resistance to stains such as fingerprints, same as the X7. The phone packs a 5000mAh with 30W Dart fast charging that can charge up to 100% charge in 65 minutes.

Priced starting at Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version, the phone will be available from  Flipkart, realme.com and offline stores from March 4th.
