Sony has announced the launch of their first 8K smart TV in India, the ZH8 series. The TV features Sony’s X1 Ultimate picture processor, their TRILUMINOS display with Full array LED, 8K X-tended Dynamic Range Pro with 14X XDR contrast, S-Force Front Surround Sound and more.
The X1 Ultimate picture processor powering the ZH8 series is Sony’s most powerful processor to date, capable of precisely analyzing and processing data to upscale content to 8K. It features Object-based Super Resolution, that recognizes individual products and has its contrast and colour adjusted.
Full array LED along with 8K X-tended Dynamic Range PRO with 14X XDR contrast enhances contrast by adjusting brightness for higher peaks in glare and deeper blacks in shadow. The presence of X-Wide angle allows users to view content from very wide angles without experiencing colour change.
For sound, the TV features Acoustic Multi-Audio and S-Force Front Surround technologies which integrates the speaker units into the display, providing users with an immersive experience. There is also support for Dolby Atmos technology. Being a smart TV, it runs Android TV, it is compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit and the TV is PlayStation 5 ready.
The Sony KD-85Z8H 8K smart TV will be available in Sony retail stores, e-commerce websites and major electronic stores starting today for a price of Rs. 13,99,990.
