iQOO 3 Android 11 Beta (Developer Preview) update released

iQOO is the latest company to release Android 11 beta update for its iQOO 3 4G and iQOO 3 5G smartphones. This comes after Google released the Android 11 Beta 1 for its Pixel phones earlier this week and OnePlus also rolled  out Android 11 Beta update for its flagship OnePlus 8 series recently.

iQOO 3 users can download the Developer Preview update package from the vivo developer’s website here, transfer the file to the root directory of the phone’s storage and click on the software package, then select “Update now” when prompted.

The company warns that the initial version of vivo Android 11 Developer Preview is intended for developers only and says daily derivers are strongly recommend not to upgrade your device. It adds that this version of Developer Preview does not support online upgrade, and requires manual update. You can also revert to original ROM.

Android 11 Beta 2 for iQOO 3 will be released in late July 2020. After the public release of Android 11 in August 2020, it will halt further release of Developer Preview version.

Android 11 Beta 1 is focused on three key themes: People, Controls, and Privacy. All the conversations across multiple messaging apps are moved to a dedicated space in the notification section. It also introduces Bubbles, a new feature to help you respond and engage with important conversations without switching back and forth between your current task and the messaging app.

Xiaomi and realme have already confirmed that they will roll out Android 11 Beta in the coming weeks.
