ASUS ZenFone 5Z Android 10 stable update starts rolling out in India


After the 6Z, ASUS has started rolling out Android 10 update for the 5Z smartphone globally, including India. The phone was launched back in July last year running Android 8.0 (Oreo) with ZenUI 5.0, and got the Android Pie update earlier this year. The new Android 10 update with ZenUI 6.0 brings system-wide dark theme, smart app support on messages, gesture-based UI navigation, enhanced security and privacy, and this update also upgrades the Google Play services.

The update carries firmware number 100.04.44.98 and is being rolled out in a phased manner. Users who wish to downgrade the software back to Android 9 (Pie), can download the downgrade firmware files from ASUS support webpage.

4. Removed the support of Twin app for “Arena of Valor, PUBG, Vainglory, and Injustice 2”

5. Please back up your data before upgrading to Android 10. If you want to downgrade your device’s software version to Android 9 by official software package, it will erase all data from your device’s internal storage.

6. Upgraded APN settings

  • Add the APN setting of Canada Public Mobile
  • Modify ASUS APN Setting

7. Moved Themes and Mobile Manager to Advanced Settings

8. Some 3rd party apps aren’t compatible with Android 10 yet
