Nubia Red Magic 3S with 6.65-inch FHD+ HDR AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 855 Plus, 12GB RAM global roll out begins [Update: Eclipse Black]

Update: November 22, 2019: nubia has started rolling out new Eclipse Black version of the phone in 8GB+128GB version, and the price remains the same. It is not clear when the company is planning to launch the new color version in India.

Earlier: October 9, 2019: nubia has confirmed the pricing for the phone. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version will cost $479 (Rs. 34,045 approx.) / €479 / £419 and the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version will be priced at $599 (Rs. 42,570 approx.) / €599 / £529 when it goes on sale on October 16th. From October 9th to October 16th on, buyers can get exclusive accessories and discount coupons in “Early Bird Rewards” event.

Here’s how it works: Buy the 3S Reward Card now for $100 / €100 / £100, which acts as a gift card towards your future purchase of the Red Magic 3S. Rewards are given to the first 100 buyers, like the Pro Handle Gamepad, 30% accessory discount codes, and more.

Earlier: After Nubia Z20 roll out on October 14, ZTE’s nubia brand has announced that the Red Magic 3S gaming smartphone will roll out in USA, Canada, Europe, UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan and  Macao through on October 16th.  It has also announced ‘3S Challenges’ campaign that would let users in these countries compete online for their chance to win a Red Magic 3S, Google Play gift cards, and more. Also, as the first visitors of, a limited number of people will enjoy exclusive accessory giveaways and discount coupons with ‘Early Bird Rewards’ from October 9th to 16th.

To remind you, it has the same 6.65-inch FHD+ HDR AMOLED display with 90hz refresh rate, HDR support, but this is powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus with up to 12GB of RAM and features UFS 3.0 storage. It also retains active cooling system that uses liquid cooling technology along with an internal turbo fan with upgraded air inlet, making active cooling more efficient to dramatically improving thermal performance.

Game Space 2.1 lets you organize and quick-launch games, fine-tune performance settings and fan speeds, monitor temperature and usage stats in real time, and block notifications for uninterrupted gaming, activated with an additional hardware switch.  This also lets you record in-game videos and share right in. It has Touch-sensitive shoulder triggers provide additional hardware buttons without the need for a gamepad accessory. You can configure and custom-map these buttons to suit their game of choice, and can also customize RGB lighting with several effects and over 16.8 million colors with Red Magic’s light effects editor.

The phone packs a 48-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor offering 12MP output and 8K recording capabilities. There is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual front-facing stereo speakers, DTS:X, and 3D sound technologies that creates a cinematic soundscape, with or without headphones. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 27W quick charging.
