Truecaller crosses 1 million premium subscribers globally; adds advanced spam features


Truecaller, the Swedish caller identification app has today announced that the company has crossed 1 million paying subscribers globally. It is also adding advanced spam features and introducing new features to ‘Truecaller Premium Gold’ subscription.

Truecaller Premium Gold users will now get new spam blocking features like auto-updating spammers list, auto-blocking top spammer list in the user’s region, auto-blocking hidden and foreign numbers, blocking contacts that are not present in the user’s phonebook and blocking 140 series telemarketers which is an India exclusive feature.

Apart from this, Premium users will also get Ads-free experience, ability to get a notification when someone views their profile, call recording, contact request and a premium badge. The spam-blocking features are currently available to Android users across all global markets of Truecaller.

Truecaller Premium subscription is currently offered at an 80% discount for the first 3 months globally for all new subscribers and in India, the cost of the subscription is Rs.10 per month.
