Apple Music subscription prices reduced in India, now at Rs. 99 per month


Apple Music was launched in India in 2015 with three plans namely the Individual plan, Family plan, and Student plan. It was priced at Rs.120 per month, Rs. 190 per month and Rs.60 per month respectively. But today, Apple has announced price cuts on its range of plans and now the price starts at Rs.99 per month.

With the launch of YouTube Music in India, we saw JioSaavn and Gaana reducing their subscription by a whopping 70 percent. Following suit, Apple has also brought down the subscription charges on Apple Music. The Individual plan now costs Rs.99/month and the Family plan now costs Rs. 149/month and finally the Student plan costs Rs.49/month.

Interestingly, JioSaavn’s annual subscription now costs Rs.299 per year as opposed to Rs.999 per year previously. Gaana’s premium subscription also now costs Rs.299 as opposed to Rs.1,198 previously.

With the revised prices, Apple Music and YouTube Music cost Rs. 99 per month which is followed by Spotify which is priced at Rs.129 per month. The new prices are updated on Apple’s website and on the iOS/Android apps.
