Samsung back in December is reportedly working on a new Galaxy tablet with model number SM-P205. However, we haven’t heard much about the device, but to fill the void, alleged specifications of this tablet have surfaced online in a Geekbench listing, thought might not be the most credible source.
According to the information on Geekbench, the tablet is powered an Exynos 7885 SoC, with 3 GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. It runs on Android Pie 9.0 and comes in black and grey color options to the mix from our previous report. It scored 1329 in single-core and 4150 multi-core tests, on par with the other Exynos 7885 scores on Geekbench. Another giveaway about the tablet is the inclusion of the letter ‘P’ in the model number.
Surprisingly, the model number SM-P205 doesn’t align with any of the existing Galaxy tablets, this makes it difficult to understand the company’s plans to position this device. Since the firmware development has begun months ago and the tablet is now making the appearance on benchmark websites, so the launch might be not too far. Having said that, not much is leaked about the device so far, it seems unlikely the device will make an appearance at the Galaxy S10 Unpacked event or the Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month.
