OnePlus 6T could pack a 3700mAh battery – All the details you need to know

Ever since the launch of OnePlus 6, it has been the best premium smartphone we’ve seen this year. The launch of the OnePlus 6T is just around, thanks to leaks and other official information from the company itself. If the rumour circulating around the internet turns out to be true, the OnePlus 6T is scheduled for mid-October launch. Even the official sales partner Amazon India has also started teasing the OnePlus 6T with ‘Notify Me’ option for regular updates, without revealing too many details.

Recently, the OnePlus 6T battery capacity has been leaked online through an image on the Chinese social media weibo. As per the leak, the OnePlus 6T will be powered by a huge 3700mAh battery which is 10% bigger than OnePlus 6. In addition, the device will be also having OnePlus’ proprietary Dash Charging technology too.

Having said that, OnePlus on the other hand, has started teasing the OnePlus 6T flagship smartphone in India. The company showed a short TV advertisement between overs during the Asia Cup 2018 cricket tournament happening currently in Dubai. The ad features Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan who was roped in as the company’s brand ambassador last year showing off the phone’s rear. It also shows a curved glass screen with curved corners as well.

Furthermore, the advertisement also reveals a vertical camera arrangement, similar to the predecessor.

As a way of cheering up the team during boundaries, the Hotstar app with OnePlus has replaced the boundary ‘6’ to 6T during the Asia Cup matches. Initially, OnePlus started its 6T campaign by teasing in-display fingerprint sensor for the phone and later revealed its move of ditching the headphone jack for a bigger battery as well.

Soon after, the company explained it was the reason behind the company removing the headphone jack has freed up more space, allowing them to put more new technology into the product. In this case, the company is likely to add USB Type-C to 3.5mm audio jack converter in the box.

Moving on to the specifications, the phone is expected to pack a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a water-drop notch, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with up to 8GB RAM and it might run Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.

The OnePlus 6T is rumoured to start at $550 (Rs. 39,900 approx) and is expected to launch on October 17th as the screenshot revealed. We might also see a new OnePlus Bullets wireless headphones at the event since it has passed through the FCC recently. We should know more details including the launch date soon.
