Amazon introduces new Fire HD 8 with hands-free Alexa support, Fire OS 6


Amazon has introduced its 8th Generation Fire HD 8 for this year. This is almost similar specifications as the previous Fire HD 8 model, but this comes with Alexa hands-free that lets you ask Alexa to play a song, pause a movie, video call a friend or family member, and more—using only your voice, even when your screen is on standby. It has a new 2-megapixel front camera, up from VGA in the previous generation, and also runs new  Fire OS 6, but it is still based on Android Nougat.

The new Fire HD 8 comes in Black, Marine Blue, Punch Red, Canary Yellow, is priced at $79.99 for 16GB of storage and 32GB version costs $109.99. It is available for pre-order and will begin shipping on October 4 in the U.S.
