Airtel takes on Reliance Jio with Rs. 249 plan offering 2GB 4G data per day, Rs. 349 plan now offers 3GB data per day

Airtel revised its Rs. 448 and Rs. 509 plans earlier this year with more data and validity, to take on Reliance Jio. Now the company has introduced new Rs. 249 plan and has also revised its Rs. 349 plan, to take on Jio’s plans that were introduced earlier this year.

The Rs. 249 plan offers 2GB 4G data per day with 28 days validity. It also offers unlimited local and STD calls as well as roaming and 100 SMS per day. The Rs. 349 plan that previously offered 2.5GB data per day, now offers 3GB data per day.  These are Rs. 50 more compared to Reliance Jio’s Rs. 199 and Rs. 299 plans that offer similar benefits.

Airtel also launched Rs. 499 plan recently that offers 82 days validity and 2GB data per day, but Reliance Jio offers the same 2GB per day data benefits at Rs. 448 with 84 days validity.

Airtel is offering unlimited streaming of all live matches of IPL 2018 with the new version of Airtel TV app via Hotstar. Already already said that all content on Airtel TV app is completely free for Airtel Postpaid and Prepaid customers until June 2018.
