The Lava Red OnePlus 5T as it is known is available only in the higher end, 128GB configuration and is otherwise unchanged from the standard handset.

Up front, the OnePlus 5T Lava Red Edition sports a black panel. Surrounded by the red aluminum frame, this looks downright gorgeous and to be fair, much better than the red iPhone that has a white fascia. The Optic AMOLED screen merges beautifully into the inky black frame and when switched off, it can be hard to spot where the screen ends and the bezels begin.

Nothing has changed physically of course and all around, from the sides that gently curve into the back that has a central fingerprint scanner, OnePlus has used a deep red color. With a matte finish that almost seems to be powder coated, the phone appears to shift and change hues depending on the angle at which it catches light. The darker antenna lines further accentuate the design language.

Now, the regular OnePlus 5T wasn’t a bad looking phone at all but it did feel a bit subdued and was meant to simply blend into your daily routine without standing out too much. The Lava Red edition throws that out the window and makes a bold statement. The phone takes a fashion-forward stance, perhaps even more so than the Star Wars Edition OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 5T Lava Red Edition will be sold in limited quantities and is priced at Rs. 37,999.
