Xiaomi today launched the Mi Max 2 smartphone in India for Rs. 16,999. Even though it launched only the Matte Black version of the phone in the country, we managed to get the Gold color variant from China. Check out the unboxing.

It has a 6.44-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display with 0.7mm ultra narrow bezel on the side and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 Mobile platform, it has 4GB of RAM. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with MIUI 8 and has a 5-megapixel camera on the front.
It has a 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, Sony IMX386 sensor with 1.25μm pixel size. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back. The antenna lines have been moved to the top and bottom parts of the phone. It also has stereo speakers on the bottom.
It has an unibody metal design and is just 7.6mm thick, even though it packs a huge 5300mAh battery. It also comes with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 along with parallel charging that lets you charge the phone up to 68% in one hour.
Itis priced at Rs. 16,999 and will be available from Mi.com and Mi Home during Mi 3rd anniversary sale on July 20 and will be available from other online retail stores such as Flipkart and Amazon as well as select offline stores from July 27th.
